A family-run Londis convenience store & Esso Petrol Station that has been run by the same operator for over 10 years. In the heart of a great local community our store services its customers many needs, from Petrol to Groceries, Confectionary to Alcohol and Hot Drinks & Food for those that pass along the busy A-road.
The store is open 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm, shifts are split between morning and afternoon.

We are looking for a candidate on what is initially a part time basis, working Saturday – Monday, with the following hours:
Sat-Sun: 0600 – 1400
Mon: 1400 – 2200
The role of a Store Assistant within our Esso Petrol Station involves a range of tasks, including advising and serving customers, moving and replenishing stock, completing administrative procedures and paperwork, carrying out housekeeping activities and handling cash and card transactions according to set procedures.
You will be required to open the store at 6am and complete the daily paperwork via our online portal, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed, with the store ready to serve its loyal customers by 7am on Saturdays and Sundays. On Mondays you will be required to close the store.
It’s a really fast-paced environment, and everyone understands exactly what needs to happen to make the store a success – and gets on with doing it. There’s a real family feel here, and we all pitch in as part of a close-knit team.
Full training will be given and therefore no experience is required, however basic computer and numerical skills are desirable.
The ideal candidate will be, if they would like, given the opportunity to progress into our Store & Site Manager, whom we are looking to appoint or develop within the next 6 months. As a company committed to its employee development you will benefit from Management and Leadership courses, both of which will be administered through a mix of on the job and formal training programs.
The ideal candidate will also be flexible and available to cover shifts if necessary (appropriate notice will always be given).
