Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen with Barts Health NHS trust Tissue Viability Service for a band 7 clinical nurse specialist to join our existing dynamic and supportive team. The post holder will be based at Whipps Cross Hospital but there may be requirement and flexibility to move between the sites.

The service aims to provide support and advice on all aspects of tissue viability and complex wounds within an acute setting with a particular drive with local and national agendas to reduce hospital acquired pressure damage.

The post holder will be an experienced Registered nurse with knowledge and specialist interest in wound management and a passion for preventing pressure ulcers.

Minor Injury and Illness’ Practitioner – Closed

As a result of the unique and valuable contribution autonomous practitioners bring to the patient experience our team is expanding along with the hours of the service and we are recruiting for Band 7 minor illness and injury practitioner. Our team of experienced autonomous practitioners work in our new integrated Injuries and Urgent Care area based in the Emergency Department at the Royal London hospital, rotating to the Minor Injuries Unit at St Bartholomew’s hospital. About Us The Emergency department has a dedicated and friendly team of nurses, doctors and AHP’s who work collaboratively to deliver a high standard of care to a multi-cultural population in East London 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Clinical Trial Practitioner – Closed

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trials Practitioner to work as part of the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine Cancer Research Delivery Group (CECM CRDG). The Centre is:

  • Generously funded by a joint initiative between the Department of Health and Cancer Research UK
  • Part of a nationwide network of 18 centres of scientific and clinical excellence
  • Aims to drive new anti-cancer treatments to patients
  • Affiliated with the National cancer Research Network and thus incorporate Phase I through to Phase IV clinical trials

Sister/Charge Nurse – Closed

The Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) at Whipps Cross Hospital is a busy 61 bedded medical admissions unit including ten monitored beds. We see a wide range of complex acute conditions on the unit that include level 2 patients (NIV)
We also staff an Ambulatory care unit. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and hardworking individual who has the experience and knowledge to complement the Senior Nursing Team on AAU.

We welcome applications from staff nurses who wish to challenge themselves further in their career. This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a key role to make a difference to the quality of care, patient safety and experience in a busy and friendly environment.

Male OPS Ward Sister/Charge Nurse (Mary Ward) – Closed

We are 19 bed male Older People Service (OPS) ward where most of our patients have dementia.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic motivated individual to support the team of dedicated nurses on Victory Ward.

We are looking for a band 6 sister / charge nurse to be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for our patients with complex needs. You must have good communication skills and a desire to learn, alongside compassion and empathy and have a willingness to be able to build confidence in the Frailty pathway.

We are looking for an experienced nurse who is dedicated and committed and has the ability to support a team of nursing staff to provide high quality dignified care to our patients in a safe environment.

If you possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, have the ability to manage a team of staff, are able to support students to achieve a positive learning experience, and have an interest in developing the service we provide then please apply.
